Gemma Dimmock

Gemma first joined black cat in 2021 at the start of her property career, beginning in an office support role. During this time, she gained early exposure to the surveying profession, which inspired her ambition to qualify and build a career within the industry.

To broaden her experience, Gemma moved to CBRE, where she gained valuable insight within a large corporate environment. During her time there, she progressed into the retail business rates team, working with shopping centres, outlet malls, high fashion brands and national retail portfolios. This experience strengthened her understanding of the commercial and technical considerations affecting retail occupiers.

Gemma has now returned to Black Cat as a Surveyor within the Business Rates team, where she plays an active role in advising clients on business rates appeals, valuation strategy and navigating the complexities of the rating system. She is currently undertaking her IRRV qualification as she continues to build her expertise and professional standing within the rating sector.
